Archaeology Skills & Techniques (2)  This course can be started at ant time.

Cost: £75.00

Description:

This course is a non-accredited course. At the end of the course students who have successfully completed it will be awarded a College-on-the-Net certificate. It is particularly useful for those who do not wish to study for a formal exam. However, students who decide they would like to take the AQA exam at a later date can upgrade to the accredited course as the lessons are designed to cross-over with the AS/A-Level Module 2 syllabus.

Ø       Inorganic Material – ceramics, stone, metal

Ø       Dating Sites

Ø       Relative Chronology

Ø       Absolute Chronology

Ø       Scientific Methods including C14 & dendrochronology

Interpretation

Ø       Survival & Limitations of Evidence

Ø       Reconstruction

Ø       Experimental Archaeology

Ø       Presentation of sites, artefacts and human remains
